About Us

The Nomaddicts are:

Two American vagabonds escaping “normal lives” on an endless quest to see the world over. Watch and read about all the absurdities, adventures, and breathtaking sights we come across along the way. Be it by trains, planes, rusty cars, bikes, or on foot, we’ll never stop trying to see it all. Oh the place’s we’ll show!

Currently, we are living and working as English Teachers in South Korea about 40 minutes from the capital of Seoul in a magical place called Bundang. Each of us has lived here for two years and in that time we have developed a strong love and connection to Korean culture. Whether it’s cycling through the countryside mountains in Seoraksan or partying till the wee hours of the night in Seoul’s clubbing district, Korea has been anything but boring for us so far.

It doesn’t matter if Suzie is trekking in the Himalyas, jeeping across the Salar de Uni, or learning Korean on a bus ride to school, Suzie makes everyday an adventure. True to her Californian roots, she studied environmental science at UC Santa Barbara.  She first began traveling when she was 18, volunteering in a small Costa Rican village for a month. Since then she has explored Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama. Soon after that she did a semester-long Wildlands study in Thailand, China and Tibet, living with hilltribe people and studying the affects of westernization on the environments and societies of those tribes.  She returned to Thailand to teach English before moving to Korea. Her goal is to go to 100 countries in her lifetime. Her count is currently at 15.

Andrew (Ski) is no stranger to globetrotting and has travelled through most of Europe and SE Asia over the past 3 years. Earning a masters degree in International Relations, he has lived in Austria, Switzerland, England, The Netherlands, and Thailand. He is from the small town of Barrington, NH and earned his bachelor’s from the University of Connecticut in 2008…. A New England boy through and through. In his free time he writes music and stories, cycles, snowboards, plays guitar and enjoys a couple cocktails every now and again.
